Veloxum TS43 Optimizing Your Infrastructure 10:15am
A huge amount of IT capacity and performance is locked away, unavailable for one simple reason: infrastructure components - servers, networks, operating systems, desktops - are not configured to work together optimally. At the same time, organizations are delivering business-critical applications across the enterprise to an increasingly distributed workforce. Users are remote, data is centralized, bandwidth is jammed, and server demand is increasing exponentially.

Attend this session to review key performance blockers and learn remediation steps to reclaim performance and capacity.
FullArmor Corporation TS36 Scaling IT management from on-premise private clouds to the public cloud using Windows Azure 11:45am
This session will cover several commercial examples of scalable Windows Azure services that can help IT organizations reduce IT operational costs from management of endpoints to automation and provisioning of Virtualization technology in VMM and SCOM by utilizing a combination of cloud based services both in the private and public clouds. The session will also cover an introduction to the Windows Azure development environment and an ISV's development experience deploying a commercial product on Azure platform.
CA Inc. TS33 Integrating Microsoft Systems Management into Cross-Silo Infrastructure Management 2:15pm
Many organizations have IT management teams assigned to specific management tools - such as separate domain managers for the network, systems, databases and applications. But a desire to improve management efficiency by delivering event and alarm information to a single pane of glass has some organizations moving toward transparency across these silos. This session will discuss the integration of Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager with CA Spectrum Infrastructure Manager and how this increases efficiency, reduces incident resolution time and fosters a service-oriented IT organization.
Xandros TS44 Managing Cross Platform LOB Applications in Virtualized Environments with Operations Manager 2007 R2 4:00pm
Which haystack is the needle in? Many distributed line of business applications built on components such as Oracle, Apache, MySQL, JBoss and others are deployed in virtualized environments. This makes root cause analysis a very difficult and time-consuming effort. Join us to see how the cross platform monitoring capabilities in the upcoming Operations Manager 2007 R2 release can be leveraged to correlate data from many different applications into manageable information presented in a single console.

Secure Vantage TS40 ISV Solutions for Cross-platform Monitoring, Regulatory Auditing and Advanced Visualizations 10:15am
Learn how to optimize System Center Operations Manager for cross-platform devices and applications, regulatory auditing requirements, plus how to create advance LOB, geographic and executive level dashboards in SharePoint. This session includes four demos and presents a customer example of extending Operations Manager for Oracle and VMWare monitoring using BridgeWays, supporting SOX and PCI audit requirements using Secure Vantage Technologies, and building intelligent views across all these solutions using Savision LiveMaps.
Acresso Software TS31 Efficiently Managing Your Desktop Strategy for Application Virtualization 11:45am
Application virtualization projects are high-profile, requiring a structured approach. AdminStudio can alleviate the challenges of an application virtualization migration. Learn:
  • how to evaluate an existing application portfolio to determine good candidates for App-V
  • how to streamline and automate application sequencing
  • best practices to overcome application delivery challenges
  • industry-leading techniques to manage virtualized applications alongside traditional MSI
  • how enterprises are accelerating application packaging to deliver libraries of virtualized applications in just days.
  • Odyssey Software TS39 Solving real-world mobile device management challenges with Configuration Manager 2007 2:15pm
Very few device management products have truly been designed to deal with challenging real-world scenarios, such as; the automatic detection and repair of corrupt or missing files and applications, updating applications that are currently running, updating common runtimes (.NET Compact Framework and SQL Server Mobile), and live over-the-air diagnostics and remote assistance. See how Odyssey Software's Athena extends and complements the native capabilities of Configuration Manager 2007 to handle these real-world mobile device management scenarios.
ManageSoft Corporation TS38 Leveraging Configuration Manager for software license compliance and management 4:00pm
How to enable your organization to lower software investments and ongoing spend by leveraging Configuration Manager data for license management. License entitlement is much more than comparing purchases and installations. License types need to be understood in conjunction with the computing environment (virtual machines, servers, multi-processor machines, physical locations,...) and specific vendors license terms.

ManageSoft, a member of the System Center Alliance Program, describes the process and requirements to leverage the Microsoft System Center infrastructure in order to meet license compliance and save costs.

Lieberman Software TS37 Securely managing local administrator and cross-platform root accounts in Microsoft System Center for GRC compliance 8:30am
Many organizations set their machine local privileged accounts to the same name and password, or never change these critical accounts. In an environment of internal and external threats, this decision can lead to the total compromise of security. We will show you how hackers crack the local administrator account and gain peer-level access to every system. Learn how you can stop this problem and securely manage these critical accounts from within the System Center environment.
Data Core Software TS35 Architecting Hyper-V Disaster Recovery configurations for 1-to-many distribution over low speed IP WANs 10:15am
Take a deep dive into architecting, sizing, and distributing Disaster Recovery responsibilities for a centralized Hyper-V environment among several smaller sites using standard, low speed, IP WANs. Understand the nuances necessary to initialize and switch over from a central facility to asynchronously replicated virtual machines spread across multiple locations. Learn how to coordinate and remotely trigger point-in-time snapshots from SQL, Exchange and other crucial applications to ensure smooth transitions to and from the contingency sites.
Blue Coat Systems, Inc. TS32 Accelerate Your Remote Office Performance of Systems Center Applications 11:45am
